Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.
When the children were younger we always planned to visit Eltham Palace in the holidays. The holidays would come around I would catch a cold be knocked out for the week – next holiday we would say to ourselves and my body would press the repeat button.
The children are all grownup now; the very suggestion of putting down their phones and stepping into the past for a day would draw such scorn and resistance – the time has passed.
