I have recently been revisiting open spaces in my area and I’ve started to see and appreciate them from a different angle. In the past a visit to these spaces involved pushchairs, toilet stops and general concerns for their safety. Well the children have grown up and now I can see the beauty all around me.
This year I’ve cycled on the Thames pathway from Woolwich to Thamesmead.
I have cycled around Charlton Park and discovered an area I’ve never seen before – a secret walled garden away from the crowds.

I’ve cycled from the Woolwich Ferry to the Greenwich Peninsula both very different views.

This time I set up a bike club (complete amateurs). We have decided that every Saturday morning we will meet and cycle (for some of us an escape from domestic drudgery.
