Was today typical?
No, today was not a typical day. My husband who works ridiculous hours is on holiday for two weeks. I’m on my break from school so yes there is a long list of jobs to complete.
The first job is to tackle the giant bay tree in the garden (almost the height of the house). I thought I could salvage the leaves to give to family and friends but the task was overwhelming. I felt like the maiden in Rumplestiltskin trying to weave straw into gold.
Nevertheless, I persevered and gathered as many leaves as I could.
I dried them in the microwave the quickest and simplest way (I didn’t fancy 6 hours in air fryer- is that how long it takes?) Anyway here is the result of my labour.
